ABOUT CHRIS
Hello there! My name is Chris, and I teach Dance Sassy—a high-energy dance class with a sassy-sexy attitude. We bring out confidence, joy, and bold self-expression through movement, often dancing to top-40 pop and K-pop hits.
My dance journey began in 2007 while I was in medical school. Dancing became my escape—a way to break free from academic pressures and immerse myself in pure movement. I was part of United to Dance (U2D), a Jakarta-based dance group led by award-winning dancer and choreographer Aman Suhe. With U2D, I performed at major events and competitions across the city, laying the foundation for my lifelong passion for dance.
WHY: THE DANCE SASSY PHILOSOPHY
- INCLUSIVE -
Dance is for everyone. No matter your experience level, background, or age, you are welcome in my classes. I strive to create a supportive and empowering space where dancers feel encouraged to shine. Performance opportunities are open to all students, helping build confidence both on and off the dance floor.
- FUN -
Dance is an expression of joy and a celebration of self-love. In every class, we shake off stress, unleash our inner sass, and move with fierce, unapologetic energy.
– EMPOWERING –
Dance is powerful. It allows you to claim space, express yourself freely, and build strength—both physically and mentally. In my classes, we don’t just learn choreography; we cultivate presence, confidence, and a sense of empowerment that extends beyond the studio.
